Yi Zheng
Yi Zheng is the product manager responsible for QNX Software Systems' portfolio of safety and security products designed for the industrial, energy, railway, and automotive markets, and certified to standards such as IEC 61508 and Common Criteria ISO/IEC 15408. Prior to joining QNX Software Systems, Yi worked at Entrust Technologies, Autodesk, and Nortel Networks, designing a wide range of software applications. She holds a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Carleton University, a Master's in Business Administration from Queen's University, and is a Certified Management Accountant.

Overview:
With ISO 26262 moving into the spotlight for automotive functional safety, more questions and discussions are emerging around the application of the standard to actual automotive systems. Although ISO 26262 is a relatively new standard, other industries have been applying safety standards such as IEC 61508 for a long time and experiences from those industries can serve as beneficial examples. In this webinar, we will draw on QNX's experience in other safety-critical industries and discuss some of the key concepts of ISO 26262 and their implications on the design of automotive systems.
